Who We Are

About Reaching Youth Through Technology

More than an organization — a movement over a decade in the making.

Our Mission

Sparking a lifelong interest in STEM

“Reaching Youth Through Technology, Inc. is a movement aimed at reaching underrepresented youth in grades K–12 through technology and sparking in them an interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields as future career choices using hands-on activities and programs.”

At RYTT, we believe that every young person — regardless of zip code, background, or resources — deserves the opportunity to discover what technology can do for their future. We meet students where they are, from kindergarten through 12th grade, and give them the hands-on experiences that turn curiosity into confidence and confidence into careers.

Founded in Columbus, Georgia in October 2014 and established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, RYTT has spent more than a decade delivering technology education directly to underrepresented youth in the Columbus and Atlanta metropolitan areas — through schools, community organizations, and hands-on events that make STEM real, relevant, and exciting.

What’s Next

Relaunching Stronger Than Ever

Building on more than a decade of hands-on experience, RYTT is relaunching with an expanded, updated curriculum designed to reflect the skills today’s tech industry actually needs. Our four new program tracks — AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, app and game development, and data literacy — are structured for every grade level from K through 12 and delivered in partnership with schools, after-school programs, libraries, and community organizations across Atlanta.

We are actively recruiting tech professionals to join our volunteer team, building new school and community partnerships, and expanding our reach to ensure more underrepresented youth have access to the skills that will define the next generation of careers.
